If that is the same as the lucas fuel additive, I used it, didn't hurt anything, or help anything either.

lucas

i heard some say that lucas makes good stuff...i've never used the injector cleaner...i've used a bunch of techtron and lots of people say it is good , but i have never seen any results in my vehicles...i see results everytime i put in seafoam...i put it in the gas , not the intake....i don't see how it could clean the injectors by putting it in the intake....if they gave me the lucas , i would put it in....i have never had any additive harm anything , i think it may be just alot of speculation that additives can harm sensors....i could be wrong ,but this is just my experience.

I've heard that the only one worth buying is the Chevron Techron... Can't say if it's good or not because I don't really know how to tell if it works. I can't see if parts look cleaner...lol

I buy it in gallon jugs and use the recommended 3 Oz / 10 gal in my cars. It improves the lubricity missing in modern overprocessed fuel. It's a good cleaner as a preventative measure. It is not a substitute for Techron or other aggressive solvent based cleaners. If you're already gummed up, this won't fix it, but it will prevent problems if used regularly. One of my cars is a 96 Chevy van with the notorious "spider" injectors that clog if you look at them. No problems so far.

Stop now!

Listen guys, do not add any kind of cleaner/additives to your fuel system, all it does is move the crap from your tank to you injectors. HHR's are new enough that the fuel system should be fine (unless you use crappy gas), you will want to think about a professional cleaning around 60,000 miles, TeraClean is what my wife's shop uses. Talk to your local repair shop that you can trust. Good Luck!

Which brand of fuel do you think does not put cleaners in their fuel. I bet it is a short list. The only one who is helped be additives is the guy selling them. I just don't think they are necessary.
