Lug Nuts

I just picked up a set of 17" factory alloys, from a 2007. Do the need special lug nots or can I use mine from my steel wheels on my 10?
Thanks

Buy chrome or black don't use the OEM on them. Gorilla brand is my first choice.

So those are just covers that fit over standard lug nuts. My stock ones have external threads on them. These threads are how the hub caps are attached.

The plastic covers are part of the wheel cover.

I am not sure but most alloy wheels use a special lug nut.

The RockAuto site shows these 17 inch alloy wheels to have a tapered seat for the lug nuts.
Note the recess hole might be to small for lug nut caps.

You could order this style cap to thread onto those double threaded lug nuts

These are from Dorman and are for a Pontiac Firebird from the late ‘80’s, but might not fit your alloy wheels.

It depends on the seating surface for the nut. Most OEM alloy wheels still use steel lug nuts with fancy covers. Use OEM for OEM-style wheels, unless you know they are different. Look for a conical taper.

Actually, compare your old ones to the new ones. If they look the same, you are good to go. The difference is obvious, if there is one.

My 17" polished factory upgraded QP2 alloy rims use chromed steel nuts, they have a 60* taper, & threads are same 12mm x 1.5
