Question Missing something?

Yesterday while cleaning my wheels I noticed something odd.
Below, see image of front passenger side wheels well.
Just the the left of the coil are two factory drilled holes where no undercoating is. Should something be there?

Looks like a clip of some sort, maybe an option you don't have?

ABS wires come out of that grommeted hole and there is a wire tie in that position on my '07 2LT....... (at least I believe it to be ABS and I have it on each side)

Check your other side first, but:

Yes, I would say that location is for the Brake Line bracket (see pic)

I would check this soon, so if that IS the case, the rubber brake hose can't come in contact with anything, which could possibly cause damage...

One self tapping body bolt (at least) looks to be missing on yours..

(I hope a76marine doesn't mind me borrowing his pic for illustration purposes)..

I would check the line and see if it is supported. If not I would get the bracket. They are needed.

I'm assuming that the line(s) are just hanging there then? x2 on Hyper's suggestion.

I don't seem to have that on mine, so I don't think it's a brake line, but I don't have ABS so that could very well be what it is.

EDIT: I just went out and looked, mine is just mounted lower and no clip that seems to hook onto the bottom the the strut plate. So it is a brake line.

The 'gromett' or in your case a plug, would be where the ABS wires would come thru (Least on mine they do)...

Yours does NOT have ABS, does it ?

& is your brake line hanging or not ?? Inquiruing minds need to know..

Joe-

In the pic I borrowed, the bracket bolted to inner fender is for the brake line..

The hook thru the strut plate is just helping hold back the front inner fender. He was adding horns.. Sorry about the confusion..
