2 things:

1) Troys car was just dropped. It hasn't had time for the springs to settle in.

2) I have 16" rims - the taller sidewalls fill the wheelwell up more, and the 16" rims drop the axle center lower to the ground.

Oh, and 3) - my car is darker, so it will always "look" lower than a lighter car.

Other than that - same springs, same drop.

I really like the two tone look.. I saw a picture (used as my desktop background for a bit) of an orange and silver two-tone that looked good even though I'm not fond of the orange color.. I was thinking about a silver and black with black being on the bottom.. This proves that my colors were good choices.. Also a Cobalt Blue and Black would look nice IMO also.. I really do like the two-tone though..

I don't think that would have any thing to do with it. The outside diameters of the tires are the same so is the the axles position. When you plus size your rims all that happens is you loose sidewall and get more rim. I think it because they haven't settled and I think your running boards help add to the illusion also. Those first pics you put up of yours the front wheels looked like you had a grip of neg. camber, that might of had something to do with it.
