MPG Improvement Device Validation

Hey Guys,

Finally moving towards acquiring an HHR Panel. I think 90% are white. Is there a best year? Worst? 2.2 or 2.4? Currently drive a Prius & a Harley Sporty - both make low to mid 40s MPG so giving up that financial benefit causes me to begin searching for any ideas to boost the current city/highway ratings?

Already looking for a rear seat, driving lights, and wheels (SS most coveted :-).

Steve

As far as maximizing mileage, you can check the hypermiling forum https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/fuel...ypermiling-47/

You'll have to weigh the pro and cons of each year, see which years you like best. I think 2007 2.2 was a one year only engine. Later years had flex fuel. 2.4 all years had VVT.

Welcome back.

A little info. The 2011 panels were only available in the the base LS trim. If you're looking for a panel with any sort of options, you should look for a 2010 or earlier.

Now, they did make SS panels for one year only. 2009. Only 216 were made so they are very rare.

2006, was a one off year for the 2.2.
2007 & 2008 were same for the 2.2.
2009, 2010, 2011 the 2.2 had VVT and flexfuel

Hmm. I didn’t realize SS panels were only 1 year.

My wife's 2009 is Flexfuel. We bought it in March of 2010

Oldblue 12-18-2017 07:43 AM

Thank you Ron, for confirming that

Seven years between the OP's 1st and 2nd posts. I guess we'll have to wait another 7 years for his next response ?
