Question Mufflerand Exhaust Tip ?

I'm a new owner of a LT-1 with a 2.2. Love everything about this car. My question is is the muffler and optional crome tip the same for 2.2 vs 2.4 engines? I have a number of 12499351 for the Chevy OEM crome tip, will this fit my LT-1, 2.2 pipe? I'd really like to add that to mine. Thanks for any input.

I believe the LT packages use the same exhaust setup so the tip should fit.

Yes, the only difference in the models without the chrome tip Vs the the ones with the chrome tip is the tip itself. When I picked up my HHR I looked under several with and without the chrome tip, both 2.2's and 2.4's and they all share the same pipes and muffler so I would imagine you can install the tip after the fact.

As long as you don't go with the bowtie shaped exhaust tip...it looks like someone put the exhaust tip in a vice. I can understand the idea, but it just doesn't look right. I saw a ghetto looking cavalier with one, and looked a bit trashy...but then again, that bowtie tip was probably the best thing on the car. D'OH!
