My Precious is Gone...<twitch>
My Precious....GONE!!!
Well...not permanently...but still.
It's been 2 hours since I turned my precious over to the dealer to get Running Boards, Wind Visors and Protection Coating installed.
Gave me a rental..some stinking Chrysler POS thing that I hate.
I WANT MY PRECIOUS BACK!!
Well...one thing for sure...driving that Chrysler (Skybreeze I think?) around SURE makes one appreciate the Uberness that is the HHR
I swear on the way home I could feel every indentation and inperfection in the road.
I felt like turning was an excersize one did to punish the weak.
I felt like my soul was lost and I couldn't find my way.
I almost died rushing home so fast so I could get outta the car and just stay at home all night
BUT...I think with this two hour experience it just strengthens my relationship with My Precious.
She drives so smooooth, handles so nicely, wraps me in elegence...
Can I have My Precious back now?

I can feel the pain. I had a small ding in my hood and it was at the dealer being repaired for 3 days. Thought I would go beserk...kept looking outside for it and it wasn't there. I have another car, so I didn't have to drive something I wasn't familiar with. Hopefully, you'll have it back before you know it.
I'm going on 3 days here without my HHR as well, and it sucks the big one.
Long-ish story to follow:
When I started my car on Sunday I got the "Engine Power Reduced" message on my DIC. I could hear and feel my car just clugging (for lack of a better word) while running in the garage, and when I depressed the accelerator I could only get up to 3000 rpm max.
We took my girlfriends car to church and to brunch, and when I got home a few hours later I started the vehicle again. This time it seemed to run just fine, but the Check Engine light was on.
I dropped my car off on Monday and got it back on Tuesday afternoon. The dealership told me that I had a "faulty battery" and that's what caused my problem. I drove the car home, parked in the garage and went inside. A half hour later, I started the car to take it out for a wash and the "Engine Power Reduced" light came back on. Good grief...
I dropped my car off again at the dealership on Wednesday morning and haven't seen it since. I got a call mid-morning on Wednesday from my service rep saying that they "were running into some walls" with my car and would probably need it for at least another day. And yesterday I got another call from my rep saying that they don't think the problem has been fixed yet, but they also couldn't get the "Engine Power Reduced" message to come on again, which they are trying to do for some reason.
I've been driving an '06 Malibu for the last couple of days, which is a faster, more sturdy car than my HHR, but I still miss my car something fierce. We'll see what they say when I talk to them in a little while.
