My Remote FOB reprogramming story
From what I gathered, there is a way to reprogram some of the older models by yourself, but the 2008 needs a scanner tool that the dealers have. I was told that some locksmiths can do it, but I never checked into that.
You can reprogram a key yourself (directions are in the How To section) but the key fobs need a Tech II scanner, either from a dealer or some locksmiths can do it also.
Shop around as cost will vary and any GM dealer can do it. The Chevy dealer here gets $65 but I had 2 new and 1 old fob reprogramed for $27 at the local Buick/GMC dealer.

Just a quick post to say I took it back to the dealer this morning and they corrected the problem with the remote FOBs. Everything now works as it should.
Thanks all for the help and support!

No they didn't, but I assume the tech just messed up and missed the cargo doors. they took it back into the shop for about 15 minutes and then came out and handed me the keys and said, "you're good to go". I didn't want to push the issue since they corrected it quickly. I didn't want to come off as a jerk! LOL
