National HHR Meet

So HHR's have been out for awhile now and with the new Panel and upcoming SS interest has definitely increased. Talk of a National Meet has come up before but gone nowhere?!? Thoughts on this? I say Spring/Summer 2008. Plenty of time to plan, save, etc. I know just the peron who could pull off such an event too

First there must be a place to have it, and so far every suggestion has been too far away for everyone.. sorry, just a fact on this forum.

I hope I did not offend anyone.

I know exactly what you mean but I guess we just have to decide on a location and hope for the best.

I think you said it all Tom.

Plus for a "National" to work, it will require the cooperation of people from all over along with support from GM.

I think 2008 is realistic though.

We've got some pretty creative members here along with a reasonable amount of vendors. There's a start.

I've still got a lot of info about the Branson area. Dick Clark's 50's museum contacted me about having an event there next summer. Maybe we can do something with that.

To pull it off we'd have to start planning now though.

Mike, I was actually thinking of Branson!!! I hear there is quite alot to do and see there and it is somewhat centrally located in the U.S.

Hey Big D
Sounds like a Great Idea, but I really think its too Big for us to do. I think The Vendors should some how contact GM and start the ball rolling after all its a Tax write off for them.

That was one of the main areas looked at when this was first discussed 1 long while back.

If anyone wants to do this, I'd be happy to help.
