Need help : Jump start info.

My wife took off on a trip and forgot to turn off my Sirius unit so it has been on for 5 days. I am expecting the battery to be dead. So when she gets back to the airport, if the battery is indeed dead, are the posts for jump starting the car next to a fuse box under the hood ? I did a search and I read a post stating that and I just wanted confirmation that my 07 will be the same since I dont have access to my manual. Thanks. Robert.

Great info in the following thread.........

https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/problems-service-repairs-42/no-power-steering-read-before-you-jump-start-3254/

to properly jumpstart your HHR or another vehicle, place the POSITIVE cable on the red terminal found on the underhood fusebox, and place the NEGATIVE cable on one of the driver’s side strut bolts NOT on the other terminal in the fusebox.

Thank you. I am glad to know about the power steering post. Seems like a pretty stupid design to put two posts close together and expect people to assume they are not related, especially when one is a black post.

Better wire your Sirius to fuse #21 on the console block so it shuts off when the ign is turned off and the door opened.

The battery was dead. She was able to get it started with the info I gave her. Thanks JX3. I can change my settings on my Sirius so it turns off automatically, I did not do it as I would leave it on over night as I leave for work at 5am and I can go back 1 hour on my sirius unit and listen to my favorite show that is replaying form 2-6am.
