Need help with seat question

does anyone know FOR SURE if the cloth seat covers from a 2008 HHR will fit the seats of a 2006 HHR? Complete set, front and rear.

I found a set of 2008 covers...but unless I know for sure they will fit, I cant act on them.

Here's a picture of 2006 seat(driver's):






and a 2008 driver's seat:



they look to be identical(except for color, of course)


If you arent sure...maybe you could point me in the direction of how to find out?



I'll see if Brenda can find out at work tomorrow...she works in the parts dept. at a GMC dealer, so has access to GM part numbers...maybe they have the same part number, except for the color...

but if anyone has done the swap/upgrade, and knows if it'll work, please let me know.

I appreciate it.

http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/catalog/frameset.cfm this should help. This didn't take me to the diagram but by putting in the yr and model and going to seats, there is a listing of the components and it looks like 06-08 are the same. Check it out to be sure yourself.

Different colors = different part number.

how about if my car has electric driver's seat, and the seat covers are coming from a car that had manual...looks like since the switches are mounted to the seat's outer trim panel, the covers would not be affected by the difference.

Could you compare a seat cover for an electric seat with one from a non-electric seat on the same model/year/color car/seat ? That should tell you if they are the same.
