You’ll need a release tool for the fitting at the injector rail
Swpeet 7Pcs White 7 SAE Standard Sizes 1/4" 5/16" 3/8" 1/2" 5/8" 3/4" and 7/8" Air Conditioning and Fuel Line Quick Disconnect Tool Kit for Multiple Applications https://a.co/d/hPhvlZ9
This style in 3/8 will do

Hi Oldblue today I got the fuel line from the inline tube, easy the install, but is too long, I need only one of the evaporation lines because the other one from the injector to the fuel tank was installed before, the other owner maybe he did, but where can I cut ? I don't want to cut and regret it, so I prefer to find out before making any mistake, I cut the old line nylon and joint to the new line by the connector. thanks so much

I trimmed my vapour line at a straight line under the brake booster , however you can cut the line and connect it wherever it fits best
OEM vapour line back to the firewall
The connection in the straight area of the OEM line I trimmed the new line with a couple of inches slack

Me too ! Fuel line up fix
Today I ordered the inline tube (full length) kit. So great to have this forum and YouTube videos to refer to. Just got rid of my long time clunks and bearing hub whine last week. I'll thank the forum and YouTube for helping me get through that disaster. Good news... all is well. No more clunks or whine from the front bearing hubs. Yay
Been smelling the gas in the garage as of late, and have noticed the drip from in front of the drivers side rear tire when I park. Ugh, now is time for this ole 73 yr. old vet to crawl back under the "little grey mare" - my pet name for the gray '08 HHR :) and "git 'er done"
Tough when you don't have a car lift. Anyway, I'll report back how this project goes on fixing up the aging old girl. Cheers to all.

At least you have a garage! I don't even have a driveway, and the street is on a slight hill so I have to make sure my wheel blocks are higher and well placed (with jack stands) before I shimmy under there. If I drop an extension, or socket, it could end up 1/2 block away or in the storm sewer! But I have been putting up with this for 28 years, not likely to change soon.
The line replacement isn't bad to do, even on the ground without a lift. got mine done already last year when it started leaking.

Fuel kit
I just ordered the nylon kit. I'm really glad I'm on this forum. I was about to purchase the multiple piece steel kit. Glad I looked here first before I ordered it.

I’m happy you did too, one piece nylon hose is much better than multiple joint(potential leaks) lines. And as for the cut and patch theory, same thing, a piece of fuel hose and 2 clamps, spells leak and or fire hazard. Don’t be cheap, fix it properly.
