Need SS VIN

So I go to my local Chevy dealer to purchase an SS rear bumper for the RWD project and the bumper is on back order. The parts guy calls me up and says they will locate the bumper faster for me if they had an SS vin # for the order. (Something to do with the way Chevy locates parts) Anyway, my panel is an LS so I don't have such a vin number. Can someone with a real SS pm me the vin so I can get this bumper faster? Thanks

I may be wrong, but I doubt anyone is just gonna hand over their VIN. Why not just go to a body shop and have them order one. Or EBay?

Surely the dealer can grab a VIN from one of the SS's they have on their service list.

Very doubtful anyone here will hand over their VIN as solman98 says.

Why would someone not want to disclose their VIN #.
Can't you get right off the vehicle looking at the windshield?

Maybe so the can't open a charge account in my cars name.

Yeah, all you have to do is look thru the windshield. I didn't see it as a big security risk. No matter, I got one off ebay, gave it to the dealer and I had the bumper the next day. All is well.
