Wink New 2009 HHR 2.2 for Can$15000

We bought a new 2009 HHR 2.2 LS w/MM5 trans in black w/ running boards

for Can$18,100 inclu. Tax and all fees.

HHR came from a dealer in Winnipeg, MB Canada, who is sitting on approx. 8 more with Manual trans (over 185 days on his lot)

Welcome, and thanks for the post. I was wondering how much they would discount for cars sitting on the lot for a few months. So thats about $6000 less than the sticker price?
Ive got my eyes on a couple SS's.

How do you like the 2.2 with the 5spd.? I have a '07 with the 2.4 and 5spd., and we are considering trading it in on an '09 2.2/5spd., but I'm a bit reluctant to give up some power, or end up with a busy engine.

Here are some of the 06 model numbers. I think that the 06 auto had a different lower final drive ratio (higher numerically) than 07+. But not totally sure when that change happened. But the manual final drive is 4.17 and the auto was 3.91. I think the auto now is 3.61?

2.4/Auto
0-60=8.37
1/4=16.35
1/4 MPH=85.2

2.4/5 Speed
0-60=7.9
1/4=16.2
1/4 MPH=87.2

2.2/5 Speed
0-60=8.51
1/4=16.63
1/4 MPH=84.95

You can see the 2.2 5-speed and the 2.4 auto are very close. The 2.4 5-speed definatly has more pull.

Once again, 06 numbers.

GM are showing a rebate of $3,400 for HHR. That's the first time I've seen any incentive in Canada. The Cobalts yes but never before the HHR.
