No I dont own an HHR yet but am seriously considering it.
I am thinking about selling my 95 IMpala SS and if they come out with the HHR SS getting that one.
If they dont come out with an SS version I prob wont buy one I love the look of the HHR but would like a little more power from the factory first.
Ive been reading this forum for some time trying to learn about the HHR so thanks for all the info.
Hopefully they will come out with an SS and I will be around alot more with more questions and hopefully can add my own 2cents

Welcome --- you're smart to be gathering information ahead of time. What would you be looking for in the SS version - bigger engine, I guess (me too)? What else? I wonder how many years went by before they did the turbo PT (GT cruiser)? I was looking at the internet to see the diff between turbo PT and SS PT... I think that's just a name he gave his PT. There is no such thing as a PT SS to my knowledge, just the regular PT and the PT Turbo.
I believe 454 is a GM specific engine size, so that's why I think it's just a name he gave it.

Yeah I saw those and like it, well maybe a little cleaner.lol
Mainly I just want HP and suspension, dont care about stereo stuff cause i do that myself.
Would like a sunroof.
But I thought the SS was coming out in 2008?

Yeah I've been waiting for an SS version of the HHR to come out for a while now. The engine, however will not be larger, it will be smaller, 2.0L and turbocharged.
This is the first I've heard it will be an '09 model. I hope we don't have to wait another year for it!

just from what I have heard on GMinsidenews that it may be a 2009 but nothing For sure yet....... Some say it will not even be produced, Hey look at the Colorado SS? Wheres that at GM!
