Must be someone else. They're from a bit north of Toronto. I know it's not you now. Sorry for any confusion.

Offer

Well I made an offer on an HHR panel today. They turned me down so I guess we wait to see who blinks first.
The original price was 31900.Cdn which they reduced to 23700 cdn because it was a 2008 with 160 km. I offered 20,000cdn

That must be loaded the base LS is only $20,000 GM Canada is giving $4,500 off the HHR if you do not go with there finacing did the dealer tell you about that.Don`t be in a hurry you should go after a 09 there should be no difference in price this early in the year.

Hey there, good to see another Toronto member. I dont think Ive ever seen a panel for $31900, must be fully loaded with the 2.4L engine. From the sound of it, I wouldnt expect them to go below $22000.
Personally I would go for the 2009. They have more options available now, like the panel SS, radio with USB port/bluetooth, and I think traction control/stabilitrak is standard now.

Options

Yeah it has pretty much every option, power sun roof, xm, leather, etc. Nice car but as far as I'm concerned it is a year old used car. There is something funny about it which is making me a little uncomfortable. It has a sold sign in the car even though they tell me it has never been sold. I am wondering if someone took it and returned and if so why? It has 160 km on it.

If it's considered "new" and will have the full 36 month warranty, the price actually doesn't sound too bad(~30% off new MSRP). If it's used, I would think they should drop the price a bit further as you would not have the full 36 month warranty.

If it's never been registered, it's still new. But being l and 08 you should get a good deal, and looks like they already offered one. They may have had a buyer at one time and that deal fell through. But 160km (99.4 miles) is not bad for a car that's been on a lot for a while. Your warranty would start at the mileage you get it.

Leather

I did a search and couldn't find an answer.
Is it just a bolt in to change the seats from cloth to leather, assuming I can get them from the wrecker. I can only see a problem with the heated seats and switches. Are the door panels different in a leather equipped car.
Thanks
Gordon
