New HHR Owner
I just discovered this forum today.
I purchased a 2007 HHR yesterday after much debate.
I got a real steal and couldn't say no. After the $2000 rebate they are offering and the good deal the dealership offered me on my car, I had to buy it.
I really like it and the more I read about it the more I think I will like it.
One question. I have an LT but it didn't come with the premium stereo system. Is there anyway I could upgrade to that now? I like the stereo system but I think it's mainly the speakers that could be a bit better.
Thanks!

The speakers are pretty much crap. Don't get me wrong, they sound better than many stock speakers.
When you say stock stereo, there are three levels. Does yours have a CAT button? If not then you have the base unit. If it does and it plays only one disc you have the mid-level and the only improvement would be the six-disc unit. And GM unit change requires the unit to be set by the dealer or it won't play.
If you don't have the sub already, the wiring is not there either.
