Talking New HHR Owner

Just wanted to drop in from West Michigan!!!

I picked up my wifes 06 HHR on Friday. Not a bad deal (I think), I found an 06 HHR, chrome pkg, 2.4L engine, the Pioneer stereo. Seller also threw in a new set of wheels/tires/hubcaps and lugs for Winter. Oh, this car/truck/van/whatever has roughly 3,000 miles on the clock, oils been changed 3 times....

After driving it for a little bit over the past few days, it's going to take some getting used to....as far as blind spots and overall fit/feel and function....

Anyone have much to say about these??? I haven't noticed many around.... until of course our trip to the city (Grand Rapids), we saw 5 within an hour or so....

Not that I'm going to.... I was curious, has anyone seen a V8 swap in one of these??? doesn't appear to be that hard of a task.... aside from a lot of fab work...

Anyway, thought I'd say "Hello"

In a few months you won't even notice some of those things that are weird to you now. This car is so comfortable on trips. My biggest complaint after 17 months is the center console. My minivan didn't have one and that was where I place everything I needed quick access to. When there's a passenger in the front seat I have no place to put my purse or any other objects. But I'll accept that flaw when I get 30 mpg!

Great site, great people here, too! Year one & Unique performance both built show HHRs for chevy in 2005 before they were for sale to the public. Both were V8 RWD. There are pics of both in the gallery, I'm sure they are on the company's websites, too.

Welcome to the site, and on the new car. Most of the "weird thing a ma jiggies" seem to be no problem after driving it for a bit.
