New HHR owner

I just bought a used 2006 HHR 2LT last night.
Timing worked in my favor...I walked in to the dealership at 4:45pm on New Year's Eve.

90 minutes later, I was on my way home. I almost bought a Sunburst Orange 07 LS...but it was pretty beat. The dealer didnt even wash it, and even with only 18k on the clock, it looked like it had a rough life...

so I went a mile up the street to a GMC dealership that had 2...one was a dark gray LT with the "2" package...chrome goodies, roof rack, running boards, fog lights, the Pioneer sound system, etc...you all know what these came with. I am still learning.

anyway...loving it...drove it home at 7:00pm, and was at work at 5:30am today(1/1/08)...so no pics yet(I know...worthless without pics)...but I'll post them just as soon as I get the time to snap 'em.

Just wanted to join the fold, and thank everyone who contributes to this forum. A message board junkie myself, I plan to spend alot of time here.

Now its time to go find some owners who may be near my neck of the woods to find out what I can in the way of club events/activities. I dont see many HHR's on the road around here(Sonoma county, Ca-north of SF) but I know they're around.

happy New year folks.

Both dealers were 'sticking around' they said, when at about 1:00pm, they were packed. seems my little ploy was popular amoungst buyers.

I am a total car nut, not just a guy who bought a new(used) ride. My cars become my obsession...not like an exotic car owner...but like some odd cult following.

Hope to meet others who are just as nuts as I am.

not that I will plan any racing in my little 4-banger...but I am also an avid drag racer with a pretty stout little Pro street S-10...I'll learn who the gear heads are here as well.

Thanks for the warm welcome gang. I am a moderator on another car-brand message board, so I really can appreciate members' enthusiasm...it encourages good will....thanks again folks.
