New HHR owner

Hi everyone! I just bought a used 2006 HHR LT1. I love the styling but wish I could have gotten a turbo charged one since I just had to trade down from my beloved loaded '07 Mazda CX 7 GT. Economy has been very hard on my family and we had to make some big adjustments and my car was one of them. (The hubby sells real estate and well as you know the market is horrible) Nothing like the drive of a Mazda...a true drivers car and quite different from the HHR. I am not knocking the HHR...I bought one as you can see, but I must admit I am a true Mazda fan but hope you will welcome me as I am an HHR fan too. It's Sunburst orange with tan cloth...no roof, no Pioneer sound but a 2.4L engine. I want to gradually do little modifications and add a sunroof at some point. I did put some chrome like trim around the headlights and tail lights and put an old fashion Chevrolet sticker emblem on the side hood. I will post pics soon! I look forward to chatting with you all when I can. I am married with one son who has Autism and I design my own jewelry!

Well Cruzdreamer, I had to get rid of my old car also, I loved it!, Was not so keen on the HHR, but the the price was right, and the extra's on it compared to other cars made it a no-brainer! After driving it for a while...I really started to like it. Then some crazy chick ran me down at a local hamburger joint, and insisted that I check out this site. I did and now I am addicted. You will love this this car! Not to mention this site... Give the HHR a chance, trust me. The first time that you decide to meet up with some of your HHR breathen, you will be hooked! Your local HHR owners will be all over you soon. If not, you can always be a SoCalHHR. LOL. Todd (Uma)
