New HHR type vehicle from GMC in a few years?

The new GM spot on TV with the 60 day money back if you don't like the car has a lot of new GM cars shown the design studio.

The new Cadillac ATS and Electruc are are shown as well as a new pick up and Cross Over from Buick. Lot of drawings and other things like the Chevy Spark are also shown. there is a lot to absorb.

There is a front veiw of a Scion/ HHR/ Soul like GMC shown in one shot. I could not see more than the nose but it is not the normal mini van like nose and looks like it is HHR sized.

Sorry for the small size but youy know the rules. You can find this photo on other web sites that permit larger photo's. Autoblog.com has the entire tv ad and hi res stills. Check it out as there is some interesting stuiff here and things I knew about but GM had not ever showed to the public.

Note the nose on the left I think will be the new Malibu in 2012.

This size is ok with the site rules. Looks like Ed is going to try and do commericals ala Lee Iacocca.

It is still better on the blog. You can't make it big enough here to get very good detail.

This spot is not Ed's doing it is Lutz's love of the if you can find a better car spots by Lee.

Bob said a while back when he took over marketing he loved Lee's spots and wanted to do something like them. This is just the first step of Bob's marketing. He hated almost all of what GM was doing and wanted to take it up a notch.

The peak at the prototypes is another classic Bob move. How often have we seen Bob pull back a cover on a car to show a little bit on 60 Min or ABC news to tease the viewers. That is how we first saw the CTS sedan and Coupe.

I like Lutz. He should be the one running the show me thinks.

Henderson looks like a washing machine salesmen. He may be good though... I dunno. Time will tell.

And he's Det. Sgt. John Taggart's twin (John Ashton) in Beverly Hills Cop.

"The GMC vehicle that we can see the front of in the center of this image is a small crossover concept similar in principle to a first-gen Scion xB. It's smaller than the current xB and Cube, but larger than than MINI Clubman. It could be seen as a competitor to the upcoming Mini crossover vehicle."

That is a guesstimate on Autoblog.

We have not see the side yet so no one talking really knows what it is.

Not the nose to the left it is an 2012 Malibu nose. THe GMC is similar is size.

Nothing coming from GM is going to be a direct replacment for the HHR. This one is it. This GMC is different enough to make like a HHR in the fact it will not be just another 2 box Crossover that looks like everything else.

Not almost everything shown in this spot is anounce or projected to be possible approval for production except for the drawing and models in this spot.

The Buick, Malibu, Spark, Cadillac ATS, Volt.

There are several cars that are not yet approved show here but have been said to have a strong chance on approval. Little is known on the GMC and the Silver 1/2 done clay model just to the left behind it.

Not the car with the covers pulled back like the truck model and ATS are near final state. This is a Lutz tade mark of showing new cars.

The ATS Cadillac is near production in late 2011 as a 2012 the last I heard. It is the new 3 series competitor

Well, I personally don't have a problem with the HHR successor (if that's what it is) being moved to GMC. With the loss of the Pontiac Vibe, the dealers might want a Delta II based car to replace it. Chevy gets the Orlando, which looks more like a competitor to the Mazda5 than any sort of successor to our HHR's, so there really won't be room at Chevy for a vehicle like this anyway.

I was shocked at the size of the Spark. Pun intended.

Yes they are very small and I hope someone buys one because It is too small for me.

Not really enough info to know yet these are mostly guesses from the web.
