I think its the best of both HHR worlds. Very unique and cool looking.

I wonder if you can get an SS with the rear window delete option? That would be the ultimate.

Would you really want to sit there in a seat with no window?

Not sure I would choose it, but possible advantages include:

1. Room for club membership logo such as chevy HHR network!

2. Better gas mileage via lowered heat load on the air conditioner.

3. Longer engine life via lowered heat load on the engine via the air conditioner.

4. Better gas mileage via lowered vehicle weight. Glass weighs much more than sheet metal.

5 Greater security for those valuable groceries in the back.

Speaking of groceries in the back, which parcel shelf orientation have each one of you found most useful. I did have mine at a 45 degree angle but right now I have the shelf in the horizontal but elevated position. If the rubber side of the mat is not face down, it slides around too much. I also have the storage net and have it orientated front to back on one side of the car rather than across as it was before. What works best in your experiences.

If I understand it correctly, the full panel that is pictured your post has no rear seat. The variant in this thread has a rear seat with a glass roll down window next to it, but what is normally a glass area behind the seat is instead painted sheet metal.
