New information on the 2008 HHR's
Ah, who needs 2008's... I'll take the yellow 2007 Corvette Z06, stock #2789720
That's why I want a yellow HHR. It could be the poor man's or woman's Corvette. If they can customize the Dodge Neon and think it's sporty, we can customize an HHR and feel like it's our Corvette!

I have been looking on our site to build vehicles for customers and there is no mention anywhere about there even being an SS coming out. Where are you getting your info Pittsburgh? I am obviously missing something
Mike, I will mail you out another color chart as soon as I get another one. The blue is really cool. So is the Cardinal Red Metallic for all you baseball fans
We have not gotten any 2008 models of anything yet except one lone Colorado. I'm looking to see what comes in.
For any Corvette fans we do have TWO Indy pace cars in stock, they are SWEET!!!
I hope everyone is doing well and look forward to seeing you again soon.

Thank's for the update on what info your dealership gets. Again, we appreciate having a GM connection on this site.

I was very interested when I saw your post listing the model designation number and the specs for the SS. I have been wanting one ever since there has been talk about producing one. I was hoping that an SS would be produced in 2007, then I heared that it might be an 08, but the latest information on the net says 09 model.
If someone is able to find out, I would appreciate some answers to these questions:
Is it possible that the SS will be produced as an 08 model?
Is the engine the 2.0 liter, 260 HP, out of the Sky Redline?
Will the auto trans be the same as what's in the HHR now, or will it be a heavier duty trans?
Is it going to have four wheel disc brakes and will they be bigger than the size they are now?
I'm asking these questions, because I'm hoping that with more HP and torque, and better braking, that the SS will be able to tow more than 1000 lbs. We love our HHR, but the only disappointing thing is that it can only tow the 1000 lbs. I have tried talking with my dealer and then with GM customer service as instructed by the dealer, but all I get is a deadend with GM. Nobody could answer my question about what limits the HHR to only 1000 lbs. towing.
There is a website called DriverTV that advertises the HHR and it says that the HHR can tow 3500 lbs. if it is "properly equiped". I would like to know what is "properly equiped"?
I know that this is alot of information to ask, but I am really hoping that the SS will be capable of towing more. I would love to have 2 HHRs in my garage.
Thank you for any help you can provide!!!!

Tires.
The shorter-sidewall, 18-inch rim, high-performance tires have a much lower payload capacity than the all-season tires on the LS/LT. GM will never rate them more than the current models.
It probably was Pace Blue 20U, as Blue Flash is not listed as a 2008 Colorado color.
I can guarantee you that the SS will not tow more than the current HHR. It may even tow less. Why?

The tranny is the biggest culprit for the towing. Next is the brakes and chassis. A preformance version will only have the same towing capacity or lower of the standard. Performance parts are very different from heavy duty.
