New member...looking for HHR....

Just wanted to say hello, and I am going to look at some '08 HHR's tomorrow.
It is going to be my wife's replacement for the dreaded mini van.
If she likes the way it drives, and it is roomy enough for her, I am going to order the SS for sure.
She already knows there is a wait, but she really likes the SS model, what can I say, she married a motorhead...

I have been checking your site here for the past few days, and I have seen a lot of answers to some of my questions.
I will check back after we do some road testing, and hopefully after we order our new HHR SS.
We're not sure on the color, but I already know all the options.
If anyone has any last minute suggestions, I'll take it.
And yes I know, Send pictures when it arrives! LOL

Welcome to the forum...my only suggestion would be to get running boards to help reduce the paint chipping issue. Not sure if they will come standard on the SS or not. Haven't had a single paint issue since I got mine installed about a month after purchase. Lookng forward to hearing what you think after the test drive. Some folks have actually rented an HHR before their purchase too.

The "boards" are part of the SS ground effects pkg.

Hello everyone.
I was going to get the running boards anyway, for sure.
Having had a few street rods in the past, I know 1st hand that you want to have full fenders and running boards on your street driven rod.
Anyway, the wife and I will be going this afternoon to check out some HHR's.
I'll post how the road tests went after dinner tonight.
Thanks again for the kind welcome!
