New SS like Grill for my LS (One Bar)

I have never liked the original Grill on my HHR. However I really like the SS grill and wanted one for my HHR. After I saw the one bar grill that "GTOMike" made for his car I thought I would give it a try. (Thanks to Mike for some additional info.) I bought a used grill on Ebay and went for it. After doing some cutting, a little fiberglass work, adding a little bondo and painting it is finished. Total time about 25 to 30 hours.

It is a lot of work but it's well worth the effort.

Duplicolor does not sell a spray can of the Silverstone Metallic and so I tried one that looked close but it's off a little. I will have to get some from the paint shop and repaint it. However I'm gonna wait till I get a bowtie decal so I can clear coat it.

nice job! I have one I started a while back that has just been sitting for awhile on the back burner, my point is I guess is that I got a spraycan of factory paint from the dealer and the color match is good..same color as yours.

I bought it here on Ebay #260293915589. It is great stuff and was easy to form.

Also I have enough left over to do my lower grill so they match.

At a paint supply shop you should be able to have them make a rattle can of an exact match for less tha $20.
