Talking Newb saying HELLO!

Found this site browsing and recognized someone I know posting! Found LOTS of great stuff on the site and thought i would join!

I bought an 07 HHR 2LT last weekend and REALLY love it! I am having the roof rails installed this week and the PAL for the ipod at the same time.

Thanks again!

there are a lot of posts on here about the PAL. You might want to read of on it first. The posts often lead to a conclusion that the PAL isn't all that great.

I was really excited about it until i read up on it more. I'm probably going to stick with the AUX input. I really wish they had an aux input in the back so i could wire it differently, or i might put a little hole next to the front aux, run the cable back behind everything and then either up to the top bin, or just to that little change area in front of the shifter.

But yeah, read up on PAL a bit first if you don't know a lot about it yet. Or if you have already, good luck with it and report back.

Thanks! I read all the cons on it but atleast it keeps the ipod charged and it may not be the greatest but it frees the 12v plug and boy do i hear ya on the wire/plug!!!!

yeah. we'll see how involved i want to get on mine, and if i can get my mind off the fact that i want to drill a hole in my brand new dash, i might do it. along with installing a spare lighter adapter under the dash.

I have a SIK IMP, so it has a doc connector, then it splits into 2 wires, one being a firewire power charger and the other being the line out, i had it all built into my jimmy with a custom molded ipod doc in the console, so we'll see how far i get... i won't go that far this time. So you don't get the display on the radio or the steering wheel control use, but other then that it works great.
