... at least I THINK it's an LT...

No spoiler or running boards, but it does have all the bells and whistles and the 2.4 liter... wheels are not chrome but are five spoke painted 17 inchers..

This is a wonderful car... sure hope it's reliable.. I replaced an '04 blazer which was beginning to cost too much to keep.. A/C compressor, alternator, rear axle bearings, all within the past six months, and now it was leaking at the rear main seal.. that would have been another four figure bill.. just too much...

so I bought a new HHR, hoping to replace about 90% of the space and usefulness of the blazer and still get much better mileage.

So far, so good. Hope it don't break. :-) I sure like the style, the usefulness of the design points, and the overall experience. The 2.4 is plenty of motor, glad I didn't get the smaller one....

Yep, you are correct. The 2.4 is definately a LT. Without the bright chrome pkg or running boards it is a 1LT!

Dammm How many miles did you have on your Blazer? If I had those issues on a 04 I would certainly steer clear of GM again.

Nah, it was a basket case but not GM's fault, not all of it anyways.

A/C is outsourced part, can't blame GM for bad manufacturing.

Rear axle I did myself, probably, by driving in deep water too many times. Texas floods, you know. It had a pressure vent hose on the diff but the hose had come loose and was down lower than it should be.

and as for the rear main, I've had that happen on every engine from every make foreign and domestic... it's just bad luck. But with that blazer you have to drop the tranny to fix it, labor price through the roof..

at any rate, GM makes the best A/C in the biz, cooling-wise, so I stuck with Chev.
Blazer had 80k + on it... three, almost four years old... fairly hard-driven..

anyways, a new start with what looks to be a great car!

Pix to come.. vid too.. :-)

Wow, another enlightened member who realizes that a car is a piece of complex machinery and not a toaster. Incredible.

Welcome. I was an early adopter who traded in an '02 Blazer for my HHR too. 90% of the volume is correct when you figure that roof support for the hatch in the back kills the size of the box you can wedge back there.
