Yes, Thank-You hyperv6 for acquiring this info I was surprised that the 09 SS production numbers are less than the 08 I was thinking around 4-5K 2,346 is much lower than I expected. Hell that's only 796 more than my TTA

Sorry if this has been mentioned already, but is there anywhere that says the total of other years made?

Search came up with nothing...and I just wondered.

I was suprised they sold this many. The SS has had no promotion and many people have not seen one let alone even know about them. I still get people who think I made mine.

It is cool to be rare but a pain if you need parts later. JUst ask the guys with the 1988 Fiero with the new suspensions. Even with 30,000 made some parts are very hard to find for them. While my 1985 parts were shared with other cars and are easy to get yet.

I don't have the exact numbers right now but they sold I think around 130,000 2006, 120,000 in 2007, 100,000 in 2008 and 80,000 in 2009. Good numbers for a car many said was too late to market and would never work.

Thank God Bob Lutz stuck to his guns on this one.

Be nice when we get even more specific break downs of the 09 SS's, like how many of which color, interiors, and options. I know for a fact the no roof rails, 5 spd/LSD will be rare, within 300 miles of me there were 2 5 spds/LSD and no roof rails, all the rest were 5 spd with no LSD and/or roof rails (10 of them). Though the majority of SS's I have seen are in Cali.

All That info should be able to be figured out with a little work. I saw the percentages for LSD, Interior colors, tansmissions, roof rails etc.

You guys will be able to bend and twist the combo of numbers to figure out about anything you will want.

Now add RPD to your list and that should be real rare for a panel

I'm wondering how to track down the unsold cars, especially the Myst.Blue units.Anyone out there know how to track unsold VIN's.
Just wondering how you came up with those numbers. I *think* I'm the only SS Panel in Utah, but I would love to know if there's another one.

2009 panel production numbers

Just to make the SS panel guys happy there were 216 made. You may never get rich but you are for sure rare.

Regular 2009 HHR SS production was 2,346 not counting the 216 panels.

HHR production for 09 was 80,793 which is very good and only 20,000 the total for 2008. The slow market should acount for the loss in sales.

As sales go the HHR has been a big winner in a sea of losers at GM. Too bad they will not carry on the special styling in a updated form.
Hi, Of those 80,793 ; can we find out how many of those were produced in panel mode? I have a 2009 2LT fully loaded gold mist panel. How about a build date off of the last 6 figures of my VIN- 628164 ? Thanks in advance, Paul
