NOOB looking for help with purchase

Hey everyone! MY FIRST POST!!! I am very interested in picking up an HHR. I am looking at a 2007 Fall Edition and the price quote I have received is 17333.00 with cloth or 17999 with leather. This includes the 1000.00 and 1500.00 rebates. Stickers for both were over 22k. I was just wondering where you think I should be shooting as far as OTD (out the door) cost? Any help would be appreciated. You have built a good community here!

Sounds like a decent price, but you have to remember that the 08s are right around the corner.

Given a choice, take the leather. Many here have said the cloth stains very easily. I have leather and it cleans up very easily.

Good luck and welcome!

Sounds like a good price! Out here in Cali, an LT with leather, fog lamps, etc, You are over $20,000. Go leather though, like GDZHHR said, it cleans up so well. It is worth it. Enjoy my friend, Todd (Uma)

WELCOME
Personally, I don't like the leather, but it's definitely whatever you can live with. Scotchguard is great stuff! Post some pics when you get your new ride!

Thanks for the answers so far. I have always been partial to leather..My Tahoe has leather and my GTO had leather....I still cry thinking of the day the GTO was replaced by the Tahoe..Kids..ya gotta do what ya gotta do! It can be a PIA with the AZ sun, but does offer easy clean up.

Anyone think I should hold out for better APR offers? Considering that GM's sales dropped 21% in the month of June, they may need to offer 0% for 60 months to move inventory? I dont need to purchase right now but dont want to lose out on the vehicle I want.

Fall edition is a very nice HHR, and that sounds like a good deal for a limited edition. As far as the seats go, the leather would be a great choice IMO. I have the cloth seats, and I can tell you they are very hard to clean, plus the leather seats are heated. Good luck with your decision and keep us posted.

edit just saw you're from arizona so the heated seats are probably not somthing that will interest you.

I don't want to sound biased or judgemental - but...The light gray cloth is IMPOSSIBLE to try to keep clean. I have an '07 LS (love the car), but it's a constant battle to keep the interior clean. I have decided that my only chance is to keep towels on as seat covers. Taclky - yes, but effective.
