Talking noob and a thanks!

Just bought my 2006 LS the other day. Only put 60 miles on it and today got the infamous "reduced engine power" and check engine light. Shut it off and restarted it, at least it ran right, but still had the check engine light. Muttered to myself about buying used cars, even this new (only has 37k, just out of warranty). Found this sight and did some searching and found the thread with the GM tsb about the engine harness chafing, went out and noticed it was chafed, taped it up, wired tied the harness away from the sharp edge, badabing, no check engine light!
Thanks a ton! Now for some customizing.
Oh the other problem I have is no hi beams, going back to the dealer for that diagnosis tomorrow.

I had yet to discover any chaffing harness debacle...now I know what to do should that problem arise.

so...to the NEW member, who posted like a veteran...
