Nice idea. Bracket is simple and the separator is out of the way. Also like you could add a membrane into it to help collect oil vapors.
Is there room to drain it? Or do you have R&I it for that ?
I see you replaced the inlet hose to the air filter also.

Hey that looks great. Let me know how it works, as that is the can I purchased.

Any oil on the dip stick yet?

It does not have a drain, but the bottom of the canister can unscrew from the mounted part.
I replaced the air filter box with a K&N CAI.

Nothing on the dip stick yet. Intake hose is still clean (probably less than 500 miles on it since installed though)

You won’t get much, I’ve had mine in for some time , maybe 2 oz of condensation like oil and water. I relocated mine from the air box to the engine lift bracket.
There is only vacuum in that line at full throttle, none while driving around town , so it helps a lot when you are driving at highway speeds.

Ok, I have had mine in for a while now and it’s the same one as yours. I didn’t add the copper mesh to act as a filter.

So far I get what I would call oil vapor, and it barely coats everything in the can, but it’s not collecting. I feel like the vapor is just passing though?

Is it because the can is not cool enough to condense the oil?.

I see some people add power steering oil coolers to get the oil to condense out of the air. Not sure if that is something I want to add, but has the copper mesh helped?

I haven't taken mine apart to check because I have yet to see any sign of anything foreign going through the semi clear hose. It looks like it did the day I installed it.

Interesting, I don’t have clear tubes.
I will have to check the intake pipe for any oil residue.

i was looking at oil/air separators and they seem to have some kind of filter element.

I will have to look into adding something and see if I get a result.
