Opinions Please: Hot Rod Yellow HHR... do you like the color?
that's my favorite color for SSR's. Nice ride man!
Since I don't own a Vette, I thought Velocity Yellow was the same as Millenium Yellow. I had a friend who owned a Millenium Yellow convertible. I like the slightly orangier of the yellow hues (has a tiny bit more red in it).

The Corvette yellow looks nice and yes I would have considered buying an HHr that color, However any cop with a radar gun in an airplane flying down the interstate would see you 10 miles away..
I learned that lesson with a 96 Dodge truck that was Daytona blue with white racing stripes, cost me $130

But you're right, ALL cops would notice you more in a bright yellow, that's for sure. I remember reading an article in Car & Drivel one time about a new Ferrari that had just been delivered for them to test drive. They said it arrived brand new, all shiny in brilliant "Arrest Me Red."
Well I see as of right now, 49 ppl have a positive reaction to the yellow color, while only 23 don't like it.
imho, Yellow does tend to be a polarizing color. You either love it or hate it, based on only 2 ppl voted that they didn't have an opinion about it. The comments about it looking looking like a bus or a taxi are valid and prolly why Chevy doesn't offer it.
hmmm, 611 views but only 74 votes. In the long run most ppl just don't give a dang.

The thumbsup ppl seem to be roughly double the people who don't like yellow. That's more than I thought it would get. That's like getting :twothumbs from Ebert and Roeper.
Interesting.

When I bought mine in Sept '05, I was disappointed that it wasn't available in 'retro' colors such as canary yellow, candy red, flame orange, plum purple, and lime, holly or emerald green. Of all the colors that were available, I chose Daytona Blue because I felt that it 'fit' the car better than the others. The yellow on this one looks spectacular, let's hope GM takes the hint!
