Our second HHR

When I bought my '06 HHR (sport red) in October of 2005 my wife hated it and thought it looked like a delivery truck. (She also dislikes the PT Cruiser so I guess her problem was with retro styling in general). Since she was not interested in the HHR I bought what I wanted, the 2.4 with five-speed manual transmission.

A year went by and by then she was in love with my HHR and wished I had bought an automatic so she could drive it as well. After some serious shopping around we traded her '02 Mustang coupe in for a '07 (silver) 2.2 with automatic transmission. she likes her HHR better than her Mustang and we both like the $90 less per year for insurance. We are now officially a two HHR family!

Welcome to the two HHR family club!!!

LOL!! My wife was the same way. When I bought mine, she was happy for me but really didn't care much for it. After a few months, and her having the chance to drive it, she fell in love! Four months after I bought mine, we brought her's home from the dealer!

Lucky you!

It came time to replace my vehicle, and I wanted to order my HHR with a 5-speed, but was convinced to get the auto so she could drive it in a pinch…

I suppose it’s the practical choice…

As for my wife, she likes the HHR, but she won't drive it. (more miles for me!)

Mine has driven it once. That was only to make sure she remember how to drive a stick.
