over drive

Wonder if its posable to install a overdrive button/switch on my hhr so I don't have to run 2nd gear pulling my little trailor n no I don't exceed 1000 pounds .just don't wana tear out od nor want to run 3500 rpm in 2nd .didn't know if one could be installed for towing or not.

The "I" position on the shifter does this...... You will get 1st through 3rd gear, but no overdrive in "I"......... It's not 2nd gear. Check the manual if you have a copy, I believe towing is mentioned.
