Part identification

I was doing a thourough clean up of the inside of my Pannel this AM. (I have for 4 days straight been hauling full loads of sod to repair a draught damaged yard, probable well over a ton over time)The poor little car was nasty and dirt had found its way in every concevable crack and nook. I took out the cover directly over the spare and there I found at the very rear by the batterie some sort of webbed strap with some heavy duty metal hooks on each end. The strap is adjustable. The dealer couldnt tell me anything. (Goverment motors you know) Any Ideas?

Cargo net? Goes from side to side in the back by the liftgate door.

Yeah, you're supposed to put the sod in it to keep it from moving around.

While you were in the spare tire area you should check to make sure the battery vent tube is hooked up. I see a lot that are not, for one reason or another.

Thanks on the battery tip. I will go back in there and check. As to the other The part is a strap not a net although I suppose it could well be a cargo holding device. Thanksfor the replies
