What is up with those rear windows? That's the only thing that I can see, that you WON'T have to fix with a pickup conversion. The front clip, rear bumper, will still have to be fixed.

Don’t know! They weren’t there when I got the car. I’ve never met the owner. This car was passed from owner to another and then another before I got it. Once I get the conversion completed, I’ll start shopping for the correct parts. I know I’ll need the two front doors as well (rust). I’ll be getting rid of the back seat and any and all trim from back there. I plan on keeping the rear “spoiler”. I liked how Bob Bolander used his luggage rack-roof rails on the side of the pick-up bed.

If you remove anything good you might be able to make a buck or two to help off set the cost :)
But your welcome about the face book lead,
Seems to be fairly common mod on FB from what I have seen !
But man there are some sharp looking conversion :)
And Definitely Updates as you go.

There are several Facebook HHR groups. I can recall seeing at least three pickup conversions on Facebook. One was many posts that documented the process from the beginning to something of a light at the end of the tunnel if not near complete. One showed up on Facebook Marketplace that looked so good I was tempted to check it out but it sold fairly quickly. The trouble with Facebook is the archive is pretty much in your head; it’s very difficult or impossible to find stuff that isn’t recent. Every once in awhile I’ll screen grab stuff that I think is worthwhile, but then it’s lost in MY disorganized pile of pics.

One of the reasons I don’t do Facebook, and stick with this site.

Yeah, and on Facebook they ask the same questions over and over. Oh, wait...

Nature of the beast. That’s what we are here for, to assist members with problems.
