Thumbs down Please help with some noises

Hi guys i need some help with this, i took the car to the dealership because i suspect i have the steering column/shaft issue and since i bought the car used i also purchased the extended warranty. Steering problem will be covered by the service contract but i have some other issues that won't be covered and honestly what dealership is telling me does not make any sense.
The other problem is when i'm making a turn there is a roaring noise coming from the wheels i think, is like i had my wheels flat. the lower the speed the louder it is (like when parking or driving in parking lots)sounds like i was driving a pick up truck with mud terrain tires. dealership says they need to add knuckle splash shield or hub splash shield? they said my 2006 didn't come with those shields and that's what makes the noise? grime ,dirt, etcgettin in the hub i think? . The other noise is a rattle noise coming from the right front strut (i think is the strut mount) it does it when cold for first 5 minutes of driving and goes away. dealer wants to change struts even when they they're fine but have some new revised parts. What do you guys think?? any problems like this with your cars?

Thank

Roaring noise is a hub bearing most likely. Other possiblity would be tire noise but hub bearing is the usual culprit. Too many possibilities on the other noises to give an over the internet diagnostic guess.

thanks for your response, so hub bearing even when is just when making turns? does not make noise going straight.

Thanks

Since there is more pressure on the bearing on turns I would say yes, but a tech test driving will know better than me.

This is one of those cases where you may be glad you bought the extended warranty!

yes i always get the extended service for used because you never know. i'll let the dealership deal with the steering column and i'll get a second opinion for the suspension thing since is not covered.

i'll keep you all posted

How many miles on your vehicle? What is their diagnosis on the suspension noise and roaring noise?

dealership says they need to add knuckle splash shield or hub splash shield? they said these cars didn't come with those shields and that's what makes the noise? grime ,dirt, etcgettin in the hub i think?funny is that i asked them if the hub bearing was bad then and they said no. so waht in the heck is making that noise? . The other noise is a rattle noise coming from the right front strut (i think is the strut mount) it does it when cold for first 5 minutes of driving and goes away. dealer wants to change struts even when they're fine they say but have some new revised parts. Honestly i think they want me to pay $1100 in repairs not covered by warranty and deal with my noise anyways.
