The ford GT is no longer in production. Ford stopped production during the 2006 model year. The last GT rolled out of the factory 9/21/06. It was number 4038. Ford only planned to make 4500 GTs so they almost hit their mark.

Oh yeah........the next Mustang isn't going to be so retro. They're making it modern again. It's set for a makeover for the 2009 model. From the spy shots and what I've read it appears that they've only kept the roof line and completely redesigned the front end. Retro is going out of style so most everyone is dropping or changing their retro cues and vehicles. Face it.....retro is dead.

Driving down the interstate the other day I noticed a cop had a Ford GT pulled over. First one I had seen that close up. I would probably have a hard time keeping the speed limit to I suppose
