Hello fellow car enthusiasts! We are in the process of putting together a combination Cruise/Show for next October. Hosted by Lehigh Valley Cruisers, the club that brought you Northeast Mountain Cruise a few years back. PT Spookfest will be open to both PT Cruisers and HHRs, we would love to see some of you there! The Spookfest will begin in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. Some of the local attrations include: 3 different casinos within 35 miles, we will be staying right down the road from Mt Airy Resort & Casino. We will then be cruising down to Gettysburg, PA, one of the top ten most Haunted places in the country! Stops along the way will include the Harley Davidson Factory Tour, Martin Chips, Jem Antique Car Museum and a few others. We will be stopping for lunch at Shady Maple in Lancaster for the fabulous Smorgasboard lunch. On Friday night at the hotel, we will be having a glow show and costume party! Saturday will be a car show, whcih will end early so that you will have free time to explore Gettysburg on your own, and take one of the Ghost Tours, if you DARE!!! There will be unique trophies and awards, and Ghouly Bags for all! Maggie from Race and Street will be setting up or the car show, and we may have a pinstriper too.
There will be no pre registration, and payment will be at the car show, so you can join us at any of the stops, or at the show. Please let me know if this is something you would be interested in coming to. As I said, it is still in the formative stages, so I would like to know how much interest there is!!

I'm in. Not too far from the Poconos and love Gettysburg, especially in the fall.

Also can't resist to pig out at the Shady Maple in East Earl, PA (Lancaster area). Just remember they're closed Sundays.

 

The Shady Maple stop will be on Friday afternoon. I will keep you updated as it progresses.

 

Just an update on our event. This past weekend, myself and a small group took a trip to the Lake George, NY area. The scenery was spectacular! The PT Spookfest may be moved from Gettysburg to Lake George, which will make the hotels a heck of a lot cheaper, lol. Keep watching for updates!!!

 

Just an update on the Spookfest. I am in negotiation with several hotels, and it is looking good for a room rate around the $65 area. The website is about half completed, and we are hoping to have pre registration open by the first of the year. You will be able to pre register, however, we will not require payment until the actual time of the event.

 

Sounds really nice. Spent lot of time in Pocono area. My HHR needs a road trip besides the 3 or 4 a year to Hershey from central Jersey!

 

Glenn, It woud be great to have a few HHRs on the trip. I will keep you updated here.

 

OK, its time for an update on Spookfest! The rooms in Lake George are blocked, the host hotel is the Wingate by Wyndham, 4054 State Route 9l
Lake George, NY 12845 (518) 668-4884. They have given us a special room rate of $85.00 per night plus tax. When you call to reserve your room, mention the Lehigh Valley Cruisers block! We blocked 8 rooms to start, but can add more as needed.

We need to know how many of you will be joining us in PA on Thursday or Friday for the cruise up to Lake George, so that I can arrange for a hotel in this area as well. This is going to be a fun and different event, and you are welcome to join us in PA, at Lake George, or anywhere along the way! I will be posting a complete itinerary and route at on our website soon!
