Pulling an HHR

Let's say I was stuck in mud, or wanted to pull a broke down friend. Where exactly would I put a tow strap at? Anybody figured that out yet?

This is so simple you guys are gonna feel so dumb...Let me splain it to ya.
First have a tow strap, tie one end to a cinder block and place it in the cargo area. Next, slam hatch, next, tie other end of strap to tow vehicle.

I was looking for ideas that do NOT tear up my hatch when a pickup truck tries to pull me out....

As for what I meant, I don't think you could pull someone...not sure about where you would get pulled from though.

Well I don't really intend to do it per say. One day my buddies firebird broek down and he called me over to pull him at least to my house (a block away) but after arriving I found that there isn't a place to hook to.

On the other hand most know I routinely get off the beaten path with my car, and have never been stuck since it is pretty light, but if I did, what I would do. Or lets say I broke down and needed a tow truck to pick me up. Where would the flatbed man hook up to my HHR and not destroy my car?

Just wrap the towstrap around the bow tie in the grille.

Strongest structural point on the vehicle.

I thought all vehicles were required to have a tow loop somewhere under the car?

seriously, there has to be some slots on the sub frame for a T hook used in truck transport, or flat bed hauling.

That is what I was thinking, maybe there is. I can't find it anywhere.
