With lazers being used more and more it was other reason I choose a HHR SS. Nothing reflective on the front but the headlights and license plate. And both of these can have there signitures reduced. Then your detector can help you.

That wouldn't work for me.... My car is always so clean, it's too reflective to even look at it!!!

Don't let that fool you. The lazer can lock on to your vehicle very easy with no plate and blacked out headlights.

A dark flat color will absorb some but still send a return and lets face it few people want flat black paint on their bumper.

As for radars the frontal area on the HHR is very great so they can tag you at great distance.

the flashing blue lights behind me the other day was a sure sign that there was radar in the area...shp claims i was doing 92mph in a 70 zone.

Lazer are not ever beatable but you just want a create delay with enough lazer splash to set off your detector. So you can at least have a chance to lower your speed detected.

What I find funny is all the detectors which have lazer on them. Without any chance in you cars reflectivity all they do is tell you your getting a ticket.

I just saw a Speed Sniper today in Akron on Interstate 77.

The Akron cop had his car up behind a bridge pillar and he was shooting standing outside his car around the pillar.

Coming up on him nothing then all of a sudden he pops out from behind the post.

No detector will stop that.

Most times you'll be in traffic, you will catch scatter from a lazor unit,,thats gives you time to slow before your targeted. Lets face it, there are no guarentees you won't get caught, but there are countless times where you don't! Being smart and knowing the area and using other traffic to mask will prevent 99% of it. If you get caught locally its your own fault anyways as you should already know the favorite spots and what kind of units are being used.
