If there is a grille cutout like in the pic Olblue posted you have an amp if not there is no amp. Look at the sticker on the glovebox door if UQ3 is listed you have an amp.

My memory stands corrected. All of the other electronics is on the right side.

That’s Oldblue! By the way! So if you don’t have the Pioneer seven speaker system, get 4 compatible speakers and install them.

Hello Sir;

Yep, mine is blue too.
Thanks for the diagram. I have no speaker in the rear quarter.and I looked a few days ago for the code in the glove box and don't have it. The fuse in number six mislead me I guess. I haven't tried removing it (fuse) because all four speakers are working now and I don't want to mess with it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Again, all four speakers are working just fine now. They are obviously getting the signal from the radio. Doesn't seem logical to replace working speakers.
I suspect an amp problem or bad connection somewhere. Maybe a bad ground. And yep, I know about the code problem with a radio from the junkyard.
Thanks for the advice. I will bumble on.

If you don’t have the speaker in the back, you don’t have an amp.
Glad the speakers are working, for now. Rock on!

Anyone know why why there would be a fuse in slot 6 if it’s spoda be for the Pioneer amp and there’s no Pioneer amp? Or is it for something else?

Ah so! I thought I read all of the posts - I sure read a lot of them. Guess this is a duhhh moment for me. I now see: "Not unusual at all for all 4 to quit at the same time, I thought you read most of the radio posts. If 1 speaker is making a dead short the radio turns the others off." That would explain it and make the purchase of new speakers reasonable.
Thank you all for sticking with me. I'll order new speakers.

If yours was like mine, all 4 speakers' surround has deteriorated and no sound was coming out of them. I had to replace them.
