Rear gate plastic emblem

Hi,my '09 HHR rear gate gold emblem is cracking again,it was replaced under warranty less than 2 yrs ago,do you guys think that Chevy will replace it again or will I have to buy one myself?I wouldn't mind paying for one but I would like something of a better quality that would last longer.Any suggestions? Thanks

They all get like that over time, even the fronts eventually. Best thing to do is get them painted.

red krylon

Hey Dustin I just painted mine with red krylon paint today. Did you spray a clear coat on it?

Bowtie

I thought I would add a picture of the newly painted red Bow Tie.

Also I removed the wiper. Anyone have any ideas as to what to
put in its place.

Hello Luisan, Check out http://www.carparts.com one of our approved external websites. Unfortunately, the service department is closed now. If you would like to have the same exact emblem that you have, I'll PM and contact the dealer for you Monday. Let me know which you'd prefer. Have a wonderful weekend.

Boydie, No I didn't clear coat mine,,,,,I thought it looiked fine with out it as much trouble I had with it ( painted it 3 times before I got it right ) I am sure clear coat would look more professional but it tends to "run" and I wasn't going to paint it 3 more times and sand and buff.....LOL
