Same in the front. The factory cover will be gone, fenders extended/modified with steel to incorporate different headlights, complete front restyle!

If you are looking to replicate the look from the original 49, then the lights would be in one of two locations (and sometimes, both). Either as bullet style on the sides, near the body line, or as simple oval lights on the doors themselves, like so:

No tubs, probably just 10-20mm wider than stock. I just drew it a little out of scale!

Just the first phase that's in the gallery right now. I'll take more as the project progresses ( kinda stalled right now, too many other things going on)

The lights on rear doors are originals, the bullet side lights are '39 chevy and were added on not original, my dad had one of these when I was a kid.

Not crazy about the protruding oval door lights, maybe bullets mounted on the rear bumper, don't know yet. I'll try a few different styles when it's all put back together (then I can step back & check it out in 3D). My grandad had a 1953 black panel truck that he bought new, wish it was still in the family!
