Rear Power Outlet

My Rear Seat 12V power outlet doesn't work.... what could it be besides the fuse? Is there a switch somewhere I'm missing?

Does your front one work? There isn't a switch I know of, just used mine the other day with no prob. If the front isn't working I would bet on the fuse, but maybe a wire came loose if the console has ever been pulled out too.

There is no switch, It's either a fuse, a wire/connector problem or a bad outlet.

Yeah the front one works.... is the rear outlet connected to the front one?

Thanks!

The console outlet should have its own fuse since it has a higher amp rating.

FWIW--my cell phone charger never works in that outlet, but all of my other accessories do. I don't know why, either.

I plug my cell phone charger in the rear outlet occasionally because I can leave it in the car and you can't see it through the dark windows. It has worked fine for me. My boys have used a converter to plug in their laptops and it worked for that also.

what i recomend to everyone is pry off the cup holder console starting from the rear (back seats). when i took mine off to paint (later pics posting) i noticed that my power outlet was not even plugged...****! it didn't even have a wire running to it...like it was just there for looks. taking off the cup holder console is not that hard of a job, it just snaps off and right back on. check it out and give it a look see

ok i checked the connection for the outlet underneath the rear cupholder, and checked the fuse and both are fine. There's a 15A fuse in it's place, when the fuse box cover reads "20A" for that location--- does the fuse size make a difference? The outlet still isn't working.

Thanks!

Perhaps that 15 amp is burnt, replace with 20 amp and try it. With those plug in fuses, it is hard to tell if they are burnt.
