I have a HHR Panel, I wanna know if I can install a rear seats, is there any change I have to make with my registration>

For example if an accident happen, is it going to be a problem that I installed the rear seats.

Thanks in advance.

Yes you can install rear seats, but as to the registration... Don't think it would matter..How would they know ? (but not sure ? )

But to your Insurance carrier it just might...

I know a few people in NJ that have done some serious mods with no legal issues, but I would check with your insurance agent about changes in coverage. I would imagine you would have to install the seat belts as well.

A very modified NJ van....

I'm in NJ, my HHR Panel is registered as a "wagon".

The only problem I ever had with a cop was because I have lettering on my car. He was insisting I needed commercial registration, and I had to advise thet he was interpreting the law "backwards". A commercial vehicle MUST HAVE lettering on the side, but you can do write anything you want on your passenger car, it's a free country.

The seat conversion is simple, the belts are a pain, but quite needed.
