Chevy sells an HHR storage compartment for $126. I made mine for free. I took a bag I got for subscribing to TV Guide, made dividers out of wood, then used bungee cords to secure it. I also took the factory cargo net and attached it to the floor tiedowns and the rear seat catches to keep small items in place (California duster, folding chair, etc.)

Great idea Lee. I do something similar with mine, but everything fits into the bag that I have. Someone gave my boyfriend Henry a soft sided Bud Light cooler that holds a case of cans. I snagged it from him and keep all my car cleaning supplies in it. That way if something spills, it's not going to get all over the cargo area of my HHR...and I always have stuff right there in case I need it. Thanks for sharing your idea with us.

 

I like what you did with the cargo net! I think that is a great place for it.
