Rear Window Wiper

After having the car for a month I tried the rear window wiper and discovered it did not work. Took it to the garage and discovered the circuit breaker for the wiper motor was overloading.

Made an appointment for the 15th and will post what was wrong when they get it fixed.

Don’t dealers test all compents prior to delivery? Most car dealers that I been too have a checklist of items to check before giving to a customer and I know wipers are on that list.

They can't test for future problems that may happen after you leave the lot. Especialy on a new vehicle with its first year on the market. They are still working out bugs on our batch of vehicles. No matter what type of vehicle or how long they have been around there is always unexpected problems on a new vehicle. This is my third new car and all of them have had small issues after I drove them around for a while, even my HHR.

My rear window does get dirty often. The wiper does not fully clean the glass and excess liquid causes the back bumper to get dirty

rear wiper

I've noticed when its cold out and theres a lot of snow, the wiper will not go all the way back, it seems to make a good pass over but stops on the way back, by clicking the button it eventually comes back. Those darn buttons are also too small, hard to use with gloves on. Rear window does get dirty...

The blade that came on there from the factory leaves two horrible streaks right down the middle of the window.

Maybe there is something under the blade, or it is nicked. I get an almost perfectly clean window when I use mine.

I checked and have wiped it down. I think I just got a warped blade or something. I have owned my HHR for a couple of months now and have just been to lazy to replace it. I try not to use it that much because I feel like a soccer mom with it on. I'm the type that will put on a delete kit on it when it becomes available.

A billet piece to go over where your wiper used to be. You see them alot on trailered show vehicles. No need for wipers.
