To each his own, just don't badge an LT as an SS or anything like that.

Like most said, its your car, (if your married, aske your wife) if you like it, do it. Some of us put flames on like a modified street rod, ports on the hood, or changed the rims and such. why rag the guy about it. what some did to thiers, someone else out thier will not like it, and some will.

i think the Type-R badge would be out of place, but the R from the SSR might look kinda cool. not like it's something that "doesn't belong", it's the exact same thing, just different font. i say go for it man!

yea people were doing that before the SS was even thought of, to be honest it is cheesy but the SS came out 3 years after the HHR was first built, so really we can put anything on our LT and LS HHRs cuz with out us there would be no SS.

Your car is an extension of yourself, just like the clothes you wear, if you like it do it! This is just me but, I've never cared what others thought of how I dress why would I care what they thought about my car, if I did care my car would not be orange or have the side port vents, or probably a few other things!

I'm all for personalizing your car. If you like it, it is not wrong. Not everyone will agree with you, but sometimes you have to push the limit to stand out. I say go for it if that's what YOU like.
