The nice part is it doesn't effect the ignition negatively, like it would if you left if running with the key in and tried to re-crank it, ouch!

I use this feature all the time. I like having the vehicle warmed up before I even get to her.

The HHRs' are wired so when it's running & you try to start it again, it does nothing.. Nice thing if someone forgets...

Since I park inside, I only use mine out somewhere to try & surprise those that are not aware of the Remote Start..
I didn't vote since there was no category for this..

I use it daily. Especially because ive been told time and time again I need to do that with the turbo, and then with the auto/turbo in 08 there is the brake issue on start up so it became habit to let it run for a bit.

I love my remote start in cold weather. Not just for heating the car, but for warming up the engine so that when I start driving I can get my son to school quick (since he is always running late).

Remote Starter Use

This summer, I had the opportunity to use the remote start function often, as I was visiting my wife in a nursing facility every day and there were very few parking spots in the shade. I left the AC on when I shut off the engine, and by the time I walked from the entrance to where my car was parked the initial blast of hot air was over. A use for remote starting in Arizona, where it's HOT in the summer.

Have had remote starters on my last three cars. It's wonderful for cold midwestern mornings. I was really disappointed that our "new" 2011 2LT doesn't have a remote starter.

Can anyone recommend a favorite brand of starter for the HHR? Gonna have to get one before Winter rolls in here.
